FALL '05 BREAKDOWN

FINAL BULLSHIT MATH CLASS: Fantastic. This is basically why I'm still here. The one lynchpin. Doesn't seem like it'll be too difficult, I've just got to keep doing the homework and fight the urge to play solitare during lecture. So far its been a losing battle.
Appreciation of Jazz: A throughly entertaining class so far, the teacher is probably one of the least serious people I've ever had to learn from, but he knows his stuff about Jazz. One of those classes where he won't take role or anything, and we just show up and learn about jazz. Should be fun.
Vocal Training: The college schedule said this is a good class to take for people planning on going into education, among other things. Its a vocal workshop where we learn proper breathing and projection and shit. TRIVIA: I used to sing, and from what I understand I was pretty good. So this class is basically to get me back into that "booming-voice" groove.
Golf: I worked out the numbers on this today, and basically I'm getting paid to play golf once a week. And get lessons from a PGA Tour member. Rock.
Yoga: Aah, yoga class yet again. What's funny is for vocal training and golf, I've been using hippie-style yoga techniques including "breathing with your ribs" and "bending from your ass". Maybe I'll drop another 30 lbs this semester and then I can finally become an actor who specializes in concentration camp settings.

So yeah, basically its all fluff except for the math class. I need to make appointments with some councelors too so I can stand on their desk with paperwork in hand and say "FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU I AM LEAVING HERE WITH YOUR GOOD GRACES AND SEVERAL BULLSHIT DEGREES!" and then go punch out a girl and do a bodyshot off a Marine.
I need to get my shit together for pinup photography, I've got some very beautiful girls who have volunteered to let me ogle them. The biggest problem with this (Aside from my crippling shyness) is that I don't really know what to do, specifically. Like, should I try and get someone to help with hair and makeup? Should I have locations and setups planned out? I've got some in my head, but I would much rather do them on a model-by-model basis, to try and get a more natural setting out of them.
I want to spend more time at DG's, the local jazz bar. I would love being able to sit in the back corner all night, just listening to music and having an unspoken connection with the waitress for when I want another martini.
For longtime (beginning of the summer) readers of this horrible spigot for my psyche, you may remember that I actually went out on a limb and, in a fairly ineffective way, gave someone my phone number. Landmark stuff right there.
I saw her on my way to a class yesterday, but she was reading on a bench and I'm fairly certain she didn't notice me.
I didn't say hello.

Why hello kind stranger haven't seen you since Sam left *sobs* I miss him! Anyway... I bring a smile and a few constructive ideas...because I like to stick my nose where it does not belong like to help
Model by model is best...trust me I know from experience even if you put 4 girls together that are friends if they are all there for the same reason it becomes a competition and the claws come out.

Usually most girls don't mind doing there own makeup and you could give them some idea of what you want in the look.

Same thing with hair.

As for location i'm sorry i'm no help there my expertise only goes as far as costuming hair and makeup.

Don't forget (not to "toot my own horn") but I am doing the whole costume design thing for the movie so i'm around if you think it would help to pick my brain.

i didnt read the whole thing because i didnt really want to know about your schooling seeing as how you started off with words like Math....but i did catch the last part and that was weird. but yeah...anyways...on to real comment leaving....

i think that yes, some models can do their own hair and makeup...but i do know that there are girls (or maybe some gay guys, or guys like Ricky) that would do that sort of stuff for free because their just starting out. and i think some models might appreciate that too.

you should have some shots planned out and set up, but at the same time don't have it so thought out that your models will dissapoint you.

and finally. don't say hello. you probably freaked the girl out. or maybe the wind blew the note off her car and she never got it. anyhow. let her be the first one to say anything if she wasn't freaked out.
